Grilled Salmon Marinade Recipes

For salmon steaks or fillets, these grilled salmon marinade recipes will add great flavor to your fish. After marinating, grill the salmon over medium heat to sear the surface and lock in the juices.

Salmon Marinades

All of these recipes make enough to season 2 pounds of salmon.

Dilly Marinade for Salmon

1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh squeezed
2 tablespoon dried dill weed
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper

Marinate for between 2 to 4 hours for best flavor.

Simple Salmon Marinade

1 - 10 ounce bottle of Italian salad dressing
1 cup dry white wine
Juice of 1 lemon

Marinate the salmon for 1 hour in this marinade before grilling.

Salmon Teriyaki Marinade

2 cups teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
6 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon fresh ginger

Combine the ingredients and add the salmon, making sure it's completely submerged. Marinate overnight.

If you're grilling good salmon with a high oil content, it can be marinated for a shorter time. The better fish has more flavor, and needs less help from the salmon marinades.
