Pork Marinade

This simple recipe for pork marinade works well with just about any cut of pork. It does an especially nice job with chops and pork steaks.

Unlike many marinades, this one is cooked first, then cooled to room temperature before using.

Marinade for Pork

INGREDIENTS

Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the onion and garlic. Cook over medium low heat until the garlic and onion are softened. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Cool to room temperature and use, or place in the refrigerator to use within 3 days.

Marinate thinner cuts like chops and steaks for 1 to 2 hours; thicker cuts and roasts marinate for 2 to 4 hours before grilling.
