Smoked Salmon Dip

With this extremely versatile smoked salmon dip recipe, you start out with the plain, basic salmon dip, then add one or more other ingredients to make it extra special and tasty!


For interest and flavor, you can add fresh or dried herbs, nuts, spices, cheeses, minced olives...your imagination is the limit to just how many different dips you can make.

Basic Salmon Dip Recipe

Depending on how you "fix it up", this could prove to make some very popular salmon appetizers at your next holiday get together. Be sure to make plenty! The following recipe makes enough to serve 10 to 15 guests.

INGREDIENTS

Flake the smoked salmon apart, the mash thoroughly. Sprinkle on the three dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in the mayonaisse and cream cheese, then refrigerate for one to two hours before serving.

To liven things up, try adding some other flavors, like...


Use your imagination. No telling what you'll invent! It's like a thousand different salmon dips in one.

When serving, provide an assorment of crackers, cucumber slices and mini-breads that the salmon dip can spread over. And for those with a flair for danger...hot red pepper flakes as a garnish!
