You determine how hot your chili lime salmon will be by the types and amount of powdered chili pepper powders you use. Make it mild and meek, or brash and bold. It's all up to you.
Don't go for the bargain chili powders for this recipe. Get good quality spices for the best flavor.
Combine the dry ingredients. Use to season both sides of the salmon fillets, using a light or heavy hand as you desire. Let the salmon rest as the grill preheats to medium. Set it up for indirect grilling.
Place the fillets on the grill, skin side down. Cook for 8 to 12 minutes without turning, depending on thickness of the salmon. Remove when the flesh is flaky. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the grilled salmon fillets before serving.
