Grilled Pork Recipes For Flavorful Main Dishes

In my book, pork is one of the four major food groups. Try one of these grilled pork recipes yourself, and you might begin to think the same thing about pork, nature's most perfect food.

Whether you're grilling pork chops, pork loins, pork tenderloins or neckbones, you know you're gonna end up with some good eatin'. Pork can be marinated, brined, seasoned with dry rubs and even injected with flavor.

Many cuts of pork are much leaner than they were in the past. Older breeds of pork were fatty, so there'd be plenty of lard available for baking and frying. There's not as much demand for lard now, so the hogs are bred to produce more meat and less fat.

Modern pork is considered to be free of the parasites that cause trichinosis, so it's doesn't have to be cooked well done. That means that the leaner cuts, like the loin, tenderloin and fresh hams can be served with a bit of pink color remaining, making for moister eating.
