Smoky Crockpot Brisket

No time to watch the smoker all day? Try a smoky crockpot brisket! A few ingredients and a few minutes prep time is all it takes. The crockpot does the rest of the work!

Smoker cooked brisket requires a lot of time and a watchful eye. Slow cooker brisket still takes a long time to cook, but once the prep work is done, it's easy sailing! You can forget about it until it's time to eat.



INGREDIENTS

  • One 4 pound brisket flat, cut into 1 inch chunks
  • One and one-quarter cups water
  • One tablespoon Wright's Liquid Smoke
  • Two beef bouillon cubes
  • Two large bay leaves
  • One teaspoon black pepper
  • One small yellow onion, chopped



Place the brisket and chopped onion in the crockpot, then add the remaining ingredients. Set the crockpot to "LOW" and cook for 8 to 10 hours. Remove the brisket and onions with a slotted spoon, remove the bay leaves, then stir to shred the meat. Makes fantastic oniony, smoky brisket sandwiches!
